Fans shared posts such as, “Please let our Jimin discharge safely,” “Our boys are just days away from discharge,” “Does a delay mean their discharge dates will be pushed back?” and “BTS discharge delayed indefinitely?” expressing their anxiety over the situation.

Currently, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are serving in active duty, while Suga is fulfilling his alternative service as a social service agent. Jin, who was the first to enlist, was discharged in June, followed by J-Hope in October. Suga is set to complete his service on June 21, 2025, with RM and V scheduled for discharge on June 10, and Jimin and Jungkook on June 11 of the same year.

However, following President Yoon Suk-yeol’s martial law declaration at 10:24 PM (KST) on December 3, the discharge dates of active-duty soldiers, including BTS members, were delayed, causing widespread concern among fans.

Later, at around 1 AM on December 4, the National Assembly passed a resolution to lift martial law with unanimous support from 190 lawmakers present. President Yoon Suk-yeol revoked the martial law declaration approximately six hours later, at 4:30 AM the same day.
